Introducing The Japanese Film Festival Of Arizona

This festival is dedicated to supporting and promoting filmmaking in Japan 

and Japanese culture and Japanese filmmakers globally. 

WE ARE YOUR BRIDGE BETWEEN ARIZONA AND JAPAN

The first year of the Arizona Japanese Film Festival brings the best of a broad selection of Japanese cinema to Arizona in order to draw greater recognition of filmmakers and strengthen the ties between Arizona and Japan. By showing Japanese films, we aim to support and deepen the understanding of our cultures through the love and joy of movies.

All films that participate in the Festival will have a unique chance to showcase their Japanese films to Arizona, through the exposure and media attention we will create at this festival.

Arizona Japanese Film Festival is organized by the Japanese Culture Club of Arizona (JCCA), 

a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.

Our Festival is supported by patrons from the BOOKOFF, Japanese communities, JBAA (Japanese Business Association of Arizona), Japanese Culture Club of Arizona, and Japan Foundation Los Angeles, and focuses on people who love cinema, especially foreign and independent films.

We greatly appreciate your donations, and we would love to have any of your films you may have, or recommend, to be shown here at the Japanese Film Festival of Arizona.

Japanese Film Festival of Arizona 2024 is open to films that have been made after 2018.
All films must be in English or Japanese and subtitled. (Japanese language films must be in English subtitled and English language films must be subtitled in Japanese.)  

All lengths and genres will be considered.
