Inspired by Japanese folklore, this magical and haunting short follows Saburo and his sister during a game of hide-and-seek on a sunny afternoon, interrupted by a sudden rain shower. As Saburo witnesses the mysterious fox wedding, the boundary between childhood wonder and ancient superstition begins to blur.

Ryusei Emi is a director, producer, actor, designer, and cinematographer, and the founder of emir heart Inc., established in 2008. His debut feature, “The Bell,” won 14 festival awards. His latest film, “The Fox Bride,” has been selected for 14 international film festivals and received 9 awards. He has also produced two feature films that were released theatrically throughout Japan.
